Greenhouses are a highly technical building type, in this case more of a light industrial facility than the romantic conception of plant conservatory.

The greenhouses themselves are a series of gutter-connected custom-fabricated greenhouses with sophisticated environmental control systems regulating heat, ventilation, shading, and misting. Finishes are designed for impermeability: drainage figures prominently on floor surfaces.

The greenhouse modules are placed on field-built concrete stem walls. As utilitarian space with little public visitation, the greenhouses, connectors, and headhouse are all designed with their many systems exposed.
