Zakiya Frye

designer

I am a Maryland native, who has had an interest in design and architecture since high

school. I value the need for sustainable and resilient design in architecture, maintaining and

adapting existing architecture and keeping people in the forefront of making design decisions. I

am excited to start my architectural career at architrave. This firm values historic preservation

and sustainability, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic and

historic buildings in the nation's capital. Outside of work, I enjoy different fitness classes and

reading a good book outside or in a cozy cafe. Additionally, you may find me negotiating with my

dog Kwame, for longer walks when the weather is nice.
