Owen Weinstein, AIA, LEED AP
architect and principal
I’m a Washington, DC native who walks to work and is happy to be working on the exciting range of projects that architrave tackles with care and expertise.
My professional and academic background ranges from prosaic to poetic. Highlights include building a table for Michelle Obama's White House kitchen garden that was designed to serve “5th graders or heads of state” and designing the restoration of the National Zoo's 100-year-old steam tunnel systems. I’m passionate about environmentally responsible architecture. I believe historic preservation is crucial to reducing our carbon footprint. There is nothing I love more than getting into an attic or crawl space to hunt down a thorny technical problem for our clients.
