Daniel Castele

architect

 

Daniel is a recent new hire to architrave pc with over 10 years of experience in historic preservation. Daniel is formally trained in materials conservation, historic preservation, and design; and, loves to tackle technical preservation quandaries. Daniel lives between the conservation of historic fabric and preservation design.

A native to Ohio, Daniel has lived all over the country from the Midwest to the East Coast to the West Coast and has spent significant time abroad in Italy, Germany, Montenegro, China, and Turkey. In 2020 Daniel was part of a team that was awarded the Craftsman Award from the Cincinnati Preservation Association, and in 2018 was awarded 2nd Place in the AIA Ohio Student Design Awards with a group submission under the tutelage of Professor Terry Boiling. From 2019 to 2023 Daniel was honored to speak publicly 6 times at APTI’s annual conferences. While studying architectural conservation at the University of Pennsylvania, Daniel was the recipient of a preservation fellowship from the World Monuments Fund, where Daniel spent time in Gordion, Turkey documenting the remains of an ancient Phrygian settlement.

Daniel is excited to be joining architrave pc and to be a part of the firm’s distinguished reputation and history.
